A wonderful combination of painting tuition and Thai culture in a small guest house on the banks of the Mekong River at Phon Phisai in NE Thailand.  During the dry cool months of October to January each year the guesthouse provides a combination of painting tuition and Thai rural culture experience to 4 guests each week.

The visits are individually tailored to provide the level of tuition and Thai experience that each visitor seeks.  This website contains details of the tuition, experiences and facilities together with prices and booking facilities.

Lydia and Paul's painting holiday reviews

Lydia's Review *****  “A delightful stay with lovely people and an interesting art experience”

What a delightful time we had with Jeremy, Waree & their lovely family!

Waree was a wonderful hostess, trying at all times to supply us with our every wish! We had delicious food, interesting experiences & in addition, a challenging art experience with Jeremy.

Their home is situated right on the river, & provided us with some spectacular sunsets. Our room was large & comfortable, & other than the fact that the TV only received Thai stations, & the bathroom was quite small, we enjoyed our experience immensely! We really felt like a part of the family!

Highly recommended!!

Note:  We have changed our TV service and now have a wide range of English speaking channels plus Internet access from both the guest room TVs and the big TV in the lounge.  As a result of Lydia's comments with have upgraded the bathrooms with lovely soft rain-forest showers and provided privacy screens in the bedrooms................Jeremy

Lydia had an amazing week of artistic interaction with Jeremy and I learned lots from him about cataloguing and editing the 1700 photos taken during our 6 weeks Asian trip before we arrived at Phong Phisai. Jeremy and Waree were more like friends than hosts, and we shared delightful visits to family village, rubber plantation and to nearby towns. We were spoilt with super local food, shared a party with next door neighbours and generally slipped easily into the local environment - all with very comfortable accommodation and the unique surroundings beside the mighty Mekong River. We really recommend the experience to anyone looking to fully appreciate the best of Thailand outside its cities, and to really learn from a really accomplished artist.
